Short answers. Each one links to the page with the detail.

Buyers

Do buyers need an account?

No. A purchase belongs to the watch it was bought for: Garmin's device ID for your app on that watch. There's nothing to sign up for and no code to type, and the purchase survives a reinstall.

How does a buyer pay?

They scan the QR code on the watch with their phone's camera and pay on your processor's own checkout. START shows the link as text for a camera that won't read the code. Watch faces and data fields can also send Garmin's sign-in notification, so the buyer taps and pays. See The watch screens.

Ask for the code on their buy screen (START shows it) and search for it in Watches or Sales. The watch's record shows each step with its time. Most often the buy screen had closed before the payment landed: the app then unlocks at its next start.

Can a buyer move a purchase to a new watch?

Yes. The buyer reads you the new watch's code, and you move the purchase from the sale or the watch in your dashboard. The old watch locks at its next check. A purchase can move 3 times a year; after that, it goes through support.

What happens when the watch is offline?

"Paid" counts for 30 days after our server last confirmed it, then pauses until the next answer, which brings it straight back. Watches with Wi-Fi reach us without the phone. See Refunds, disputes and renewals.

Your app

Which watches and app types does it support?

Watch apps, watch faces and data fields, on round, square, rectangular and Instinct screens, from one build. See Memory and supported watches.

How much memory does it take?

5.2 KB in an app on a fēnix 7 Pro, and 6.5 KB on a fēnix 6 Pro or Forerunner 55, the animated unlock included. Faces and data fields: 2.3 and 2.7 KB.

Which languages does it speak?

English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). The watch's own language picks; any other language gets English.

Do I need an app update to change the words or the price?

No. Our server sends the screens ready to draw, and you set the price in your dashboard. Changing TRIAL_DAYS is the exception: it lives in your build's PaywallConfig.mc.

Does my test build share purchases with my store app?

No. Garmin gives each app ID its own device ID on a watch, so a test build and the store app are two watches to us. See Testing.

Can a user get Premium by resetting the clock or copying storage?

No. A clock set back makes the watch ask our server at once, and a "paid" stamp from the future doesn't count. A copied storage file is dropped at the next check, because the copy's watch has another device ID. Reinstalling never restarts a trial.

Money

Do you hold my money?

No. Buyers pay your own Stripe, PayPal, Polar, Razorpay or Paystack account directly. We never hold money and never see card numbers.

What do you charge?

A yearly plan: Starter $9, Pro $99 or Studio $299, each with sales included, then 2% of sales past it. Test mode is free, and your processor's own fees are separate. See Plans and fees.

What happens on a refund?

The watch locks again at its next check, or at once if its buy screen is open. A dispute locks it while the dispute is open. See Refunds, disputes and renewals.

What if my processor can't reach you?

Payments shows Needs attention, with the fix. Payments still go through meanwhile; refunds can't lock watches until your processor reaches us again.
